Biography:

Brunswick- Ervin (Erv) Edward Rice, 94, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on December 25,2025. He was born on August 24,1931 to Doris and Charles Rice. On May 17,1952 he married the love of his life, Claire Rice.

Erv proudly served 30 years in the United States Navy, rising through the ranks of Commander. He treasured time with his family, enjoyed dancing with his wife, volunteering, gardening and attending church services. Bird watching, socializing and being Santa. He shared his love for Christmas and kindness with others by empathizing with the importance of loving, sharing and caring.

Ervin survived by his children; Charles and wife Ruth, Doug and wife Brenda, Donna and husband Bob Delong, James and wife Rebecca, and John and his wife Louise. Ten grandchildren and their spouses or partners and by twelve great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ronald and Mary Bernard, sister-in-law Jeanne Bernard, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, stepfather George and his beloved wife, Claire Rice.
