Biography:
Jolene "Jo" Mae Perry, 23, of Farmingdale, died on Sunday, October 12th at home due to complications sustained in an automobile accident in May, surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Alva Chang, grew up in Farmingdale and graduated from Hall-Dale High School in the Class of 2020. As a teenager Jolene volunteered as a junior firefighter in Farmingdale with her grandfather. Because of her love for children, she worked at many different childcare centers. Jolene's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends, and she was the happiest when surrounded by loved ones and animals. She made broken look beautiful. Though her time on this Earth was short, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved so deeply.
She was predeceased by her nana Ellie Vanasse and NanEve Bean. She is survived by her mom Alva Chang, birth mother Tania Perry, father Gary McLellan, papa Gary Vanasse, grandmother and grandfather Cindy and Leon Crockett, brother Raymond Chang and wife Beth, brother Randy Chang and wife Angela, sister Krystal-Lee Bernard and husband Bill, brother Domanic Bruelle, soulmate Gabe Farias, uncles Ying Chang and Lyndon McLellan, aunt AmberLynn Crockett, nieces, nephews and countless other family and friends who will forever carry her memory.
A celebration of life will be held at the Loudon Hill Center at 330 Water Street, Hallowell on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 4:30-6:30 PM.
