Harold L. "Boss" Peaslee Jr.
Date of Death: December 2, 2025
Date of Birth: December 19, 1947
Biography:
Harold L. “Boss” Peaslee Jr., 77, of Bowdoin, Maine, passed peacefully into the arms of his
Lord on December 2, 2025. Born in Jefferson, Maine, to Harold L. Peaslee Sr. And Ruth
(Weaver) Peaslee, he grew up in a large, hardworking family that shaped the strong, faithful
man he would become.
As a young man, Boss worked in forestry before spending many years worm digging, where he
formed lifelong friendships and countless stories. His true calling, however, was preaching.
Sharing the gospel of Christ was his greatest passion, and anyone who met him knew his
famous saying: “I’m on a mission.” In his later years, he proudly worked at Reny Construction
in Boothbay, where he especially cherished working alongside his brother, Punk.
Boss spent many years raising his children alongside his first wife, Kathy, with whom he shared
an important chapter of his life and family.
Boss was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Ruth; brothers Charlie, Benny, Albert, Ricky,
Donald, and Robert; sisters Patsy, Tina, and Pauline; and three precious great-grandchildren,
Olivia, Liam, and Lucas.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Blanca Peaslee; his children Harold L. Peaslee III
(BJ) and wife Lindi, Kathleen Bernier (Little Kathy) and husband Andy, Timothy Peaslee (Timmy)
and wife Jody, and David Peaslee and wife Chrissy. He leaves behind 14 adored grandchildren
and many beloved great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Alta, Serena, Mike,
Edward(Punk), Paul, and Dale; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and
dear friends.
Boss had a deep, gentle love for animals. He was preceded in passing by his two faithful dogs,
Sara and Missy, who brought him many years of companionship. He leaves behind his beloved
dog Luna, who remained steadfastly by his side and brought him great comfort and joy.
A celebration of Boss’s life will be held in the spring, with details to be announced at a later
date.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the New England Cancer Center,
especially Dr. Haney, for the compassionate care provided. Special thanks also go to nurses
Chelsea, Becca, and Amanda for their kindness and support during Boss’s final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local animal shelter or rescue in honor of
Boss’s great love for animals.
