Michael F. Mongeau

Date of Death: May 11, 2025

Date of Birth: January 20, 1957

Biography:

Michael F. Mongeau, 68, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. Born January 20, 1957, in Lewiston, Maine, he was the son of the late Fernand and Elizabeth Mongeau.
A true technology enthusiast, Michael's passion for computers began in the early days of personal computing, proudly starting with his beloved Commodore 64. When not tinkering on a computer, he could often be found gliding across the floor at the Rollerdrome or enjoying the thrill of the open road on his cherished 1977 Suzuki GT380, which remained his faithful companion for over four decades. Michael was also an avid snowmobiler, embracing Maine's winter adventures with enthusiasm.
The Lewiston Farmers Market held a special place in his heart, where he found his second family among the local community. His warm presence and genuine spirit touched many lives there.
Michael is predeceased by his parents, Fernand and Elizabeth Mongeau, and his sister Janice McDonald and her husband Chuck of Lewiston. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 24 years, Debra Mongeau of Auburn; his son Mark Mongeau of Lewiston; his daughter Michelle and her husband Kevin Fleury of Ocala, FL; and his beloved grandchildren: Benjaman Fleury, Timothy, and Maya Mongeau. Sisters Sandra and husband Gerry Dube of Pittston, and Sharon Maher of Sarasota FL.
He is also survived by his step-children: Adam and wife Cecilie Joyner, Eric Joyner, and Stephanie and husband Chris Noonan of Turner; as well as his cherished step-grandchildren: Alison Joyner, Kirby Joyner, Ozzy, Riley, and Jack Noonan. Along with many loved nieces and nephews.
Michael's love for technology, adventure, and family will be remembered by all who knew him. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the memories he created with those he held dear.
