Biography:

Portland- Bruce W. Mitchell, 63, of Mechanic Falls, died on Dec. 16, 2012 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Bruce was born on Sept. 03, 1949, the son of Wendell and Phyllis Mitchell of Mechanic Falls.

Bruce worked in the woods as a logger and was a mechanic.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR, photography, cooking, baking, Facebook, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Bruce is survived by his wife Carmen, 3 daughters; Tonia and husband Robert, Mary and her husband Ray, and Jenny and her husband Robert, 2 sons; David, and Larry and his wife April, 16 grandchildren, and 2 brothers; Allen and Donald.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, Dec. 21 from 1pm – 3pm at Bruce’s home,  109 North Main St. in Mechanic Falls.  

Burial will be held at a later date at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
