Biography:

Sylvia Mason, age 86, of Topsham, ME, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 30, 1938, in Rockland, Maine, Sylvia was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Throughout her life, she cherished her family above all else, finding joy in spending time with them.

Sylvia “Sib or Sibby” had deep roots in the ocean and fishing community of the Keag River in South Thomaston, Maine.  Wonderful family memories were formed there with her mother, brothers, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Cindy Gibbons, Debra Clark, and Tracey Mason; her grandchildren, Jason Gibbons, Brandon Clark, Devon Clark, Gabrielle Mason, Angel Gibbons, Adrian and Fred Carroll; as well as five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Dudley Mason.

Sylvia’s warmth and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in the countless lives she touched with her kindness.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
