Biography:

Michael A. Lavigne, 65 of Lewiston, passed away on February 1st, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born to Normand and Laurette Lavigne on August 3rd, 1960, in Augusta, ME.

Mike worked as a Newspaper delivery driver, janitor maintenance man, cross-country truck driver, school bus driver and trainer, as well as drove a box truck for the United States Post Office. He also enjoyed driving the Lewiston Blue Devils Ladies’ hockey team.

He enjoyed bowling candlepin for the league, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and enjoyed the ocean and vacations with his family. He loved a good book and playing games. He could be found playing piton, dice, cribbage, tux, and a heated match of skip-bo, with the company of his silly dogs, and also loved a remote camping destination to spend his summers. His passion for football was like no other, and he often organized a pool that he got all family members involved in playing. He loved to smile and joke around with his wife, children, and grandchildren. These were some of his all time best memories and moments.

Predeceased by his nephew Peter Donovan and parents Laurette and Normand Lavigne.

Survived by his wife Anne-Marie, daughter Lauren, brother Paul, sisters Diane and Sue, and 3 stepchildren Christopher, Samantha, and Michelle. Michael and Anne-Marie shared 9 grandchildren and have touched the hearts of many others.

The Celebration of Life is at 752 Marston Corner Baptist Church in Auburn at 3:00 PM. Following the service, there will be a Pizza party in memory of Michael, where friends and family are welcome to join. In Lieu of flowers, they can be sent to 752 Beechhill Road in Auburn, Maine 04210.
