Biography:

Mona Jean Douglass, 74, of Lewiston, Maine, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, at Central Maine Healthcare with her loved ones by her side.
Mona was born in Van Buren, Maine, and later moved to Lewiston, where she grew up surrounded by family and community. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ivan Douglass, with whom she shared many wonderful years.
Throughout her career, Mona worked in both manufacturing and customer service. She was admired for her dedication, reliability, and the kindness she extended to her colleagues. Outside of work, she filled her days with activities that brought her joy, including quilting, antiquing, and taking day trips. Most of all, Mona cherished time spent with her family, creating memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
She is survived by her children, Brian Vincent and his wife Krystal, Joshua Douglass and his wife Meghan. Mona was the proud and loving grandmother of Celeste, Gavin, Jackson, and Ivy, who were the light of her life. She also leaves behind many devoted sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who will deeply miss her warmth and presence.
Mona’s life was defined by love and creativity. She had a special way of making those around her feel cared for. Her family and friends will forever remember her laughter, her strength, and her ability to bring comfort and joy to those she loved.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at 27 Water Street, Hallowell, Maine 04347. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Mona’s life and legacy.
