Richard David Desjardins

Biography:

Richard David Desjardins born November 3, 1953 graduated to heaven on April 1, 2025 after a very long illness which he fought valiantly for many years. He went home to his Lord and Savior from his own home, right where he wanted to be. 

His love for his family was beyond measure, his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were his world, aside from God. Richard and Bonnie were married April 4, 1997, they came very close to their 38th wedding anniversary, but a special thanks to Beacon Hospice for renewing their vows for them March 26, 2025 which was the greatest blessing.

 Richard worked at BIW, Lowe's, Cumberland Farms, and Walmart DC before his illness prevented him from working. Richard belonged to Thomas Memorial Baptist Church in Lewiston. He loved his church and church friends so much and his greatest wish is everyone to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. 

He is survived by his wife Bonnie, son David (Alaina), Daughter Carey (Shawn), Brian (Brittany), grandchildren, Chelsea, Cheyenne, Brayden, Brody, Michelle, Brandon, and Avery. 15 great grandchildren. He is also so loved by all of his sisters in law and brothers in law. Sharon and Jim, Wendy and Jon, Don and Heidi, Mike and Jen. Best friends Nancy Phil, Alice and Joe, Pauline. A special thank you to Janey, Pam, Beth, Steve, Sarah and Elisha. Richard had a special love for Josh his diamond art buddy. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday April 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM at  Thomas Memorial Baptist Church 62 Strawberry Ave Lewiston, ME 04240. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to TMBC.
