Normand D. Caron

Date of Death: February 27, 2026

Date of Birth: July 14, 1949

Biography:

Normand D. Caron of Buckfield, Maine, a proud veteran of the Marine Corps, passed away on February 27, 2026 at the age of 76 with his loved ones by his side.

The son of Sylvio and Alice (Duval) Caron, Norm was born in Auburn, Maine on July 14, 1949. In 1966, at the age of 17, Norm enlisted in the Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 40 in Winthrop, Maine.

In his early years Norm worked for Gendron and Gendron in Lewiston. He then had a long career as a project manager for Platz Associates in Auburn where he enjoyed working with Tom and the rest of his work family for 40 years. His work family also included many business owners, contractors, and laborers that he worked with throughout the years, many of whom became great friends.

In 1991, Norm met the love of his life, Lorraine St.Pierre. They married and spent 35 wonderful years together. Norm’s family grew to include the St.Pierre clan with whom he enjoyed many family outings, holidays and vacations with.

His loved ones will remember his sense of humor, love of steak (rare please), and his cooking skills. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed traveling to races in Loudon and Daytona. He also had a love of golf, gardening and gambling. While he loved to gamble, it was also a great excuse to travel with friends and family to many fun and memorable locations (Vegas, Biloxi, Foxwoods, Florida and more). He really enjoyed complaining about those darn tax papers.

Norm is survived by his beloved wife Lorraine, a special niece Claire Parker (Jeffrey) and a host of other family members Joyce, Michael, Maurice (Claire) and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his parents and his godparents Donald and Pauline Caron, and other family members John and Richard.

Please join us for a celebration of Norm’s life to include food, laughter and memories on March 28, 2026 from 12:00 to 3:00 at The Pub at Baxter, 120 Mill Street, Lewiston, Maine.
