Biography:

Cynthia Diane Buffinton, 72, of Lewiston passed away peacefully at home on February 4, 2026 after a courageous battle for more time against cancer. Born in Waterville to Arnold and Patrica Rowe, she moved with her family between Maine and Eastern Connecticut several times through her life. Cindy was known for her love of doing things herself, crafting, sewing and gardening among her favorites. Being a "Gigi" was her greatest joy above all.

She is survived by her 3 children Tracy Ellison, Michael Chalifoux (his wife, Faith) and Victoria Martel, 6 grandchildren Mariah Kirstie, Emma, Abigail, Benjamin and Collin, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. As well as 5 brothers, one sister and many “sisters” and “kids” she adopted along the way.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society. A celebration of life will be held this summer at camp, her favorite place.
