James Donald Brassard

Biography:

James Donald Brassard 64, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully at MidCoast Medical Center surrounded by his family on August 21,2025.

 James was born in Bath, Maine on September 14,1960 to Donald J. Brassard and Joan Ferris Tanguay.

 James spent his working career in the US Air Force. He enlisted in 1979 and while he did not spend entirety of his life in the Air Force, he did spend four dedicated years serving. After the Air Force, James went onto woodworking. Specifically, cabinet making.  He was talented in many ways, but cabinet making was truly one of his natural talents.

James enjoyed keeping to himself. He was an avid reader. James also liked to play video games in his spare time.

James is predeceased by both parents, Donald Brassard and Joan Ferris Tanguay.

 James is survived by his loving sister AnnMarie Friedman, spouse Paul Friedman, brother William Brassaard, spouse Kathy of Brunswick along with many nieces and nephews.

 There will be a service at the Maine Veterans Cemetery on September 10th at 12 pm.

 In lieu of flowers, the family asked to please donate to the

 Veterans Incorporation.
