February 8, 2014 | Don Nida - Millington, NJ -- USA

My deepest condolences to you all. I was looking at the Island news and saw the posting of your dad's passing. Never an easy time, however, he was obviously a wonderful man and you have great memories to pass on to your children. Take care

Joe will be missed by all of us at the Coumadin clinic. I will truly miss his vm messages of "Well hello ladies...." I am privileged to have been able to meet him. My thoughts are with you and your family during this time. Just know he was very much loved and treasured. And he always put a smile on my face.

February 3, 2014 | Jim and Judith Johnston - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania -- USA

Jan--
Judith and I read of Joe's death in the Sunday Inquirer. We want to express our most sincere condolences to you and your family.
Our fond memories go back to the truly fun times we all shared on Delancey Street--- and to the fact that Joe and I discovered that we had both grown up -- assuming we ever did!-- in Greensburg. I have a ton of funny Joe Wentling stories I've shared over the years, including the infamous Joe, Steve Simpson, and me chasing mysterious " Arab oil millionaires" in the 70's or 80's.
Remember the good times; there were many
of them!
Stay well.
All the best.
Jim and Judith Johnston

Jan, we have sent you a card, but to Polly and Ben and all the family, deep condolence. A great fellow is passed and we miss him dearly. Fond memories are welling up all ready. We look forward to seeing you Saturday and trading stories then.
Love,
Steve and John

February 2, 2014 | Steve Waitneight - Crosswicks, NJ 08515 -- USA

From our early days in the investment business at DeHaven through Janney Joe was always a solid stand up guy to whom I could go for solid honest feed back and guidance. To me Joe was always very real, available and honest. A good friend….he will be sourly missed…Steve Waitneight….

February 2, 2014 | Perc and Sally Moser - Bryn Mawr,, PA -- USA

Sad to read of Joe's death in today's Inquirer. We have very fond memories of all the Wentlings, and Joe and Sal share the fine birthplace of Greensburg, PA. Our very best wishes to you, and our sympathies. Love, Sal and Perc Moser

February 2, 2014 | Taylor Braendel - Chester Springs, PA -- USA

Jeanne, Polly, and Ben....so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He was a wonderful man, always fun to be around, with a great sense of humor....I want to say the lobsters Jeanne and Joe sent after arriving in Maine were enjoyed by my whole family including Sally, Julie and Sarah...I remember fondly the summer back in the 70's that Sally and our girls came to the island for a week.... searching the dump for old bottles and just relaxing....pictures of that trip of Julie And Sarah still adorn my bathroom walls...my thoughts are with you all....Taylor
