Mrs. Weisbein,

You were my third-grade teacher at Ninnekah in 1978. I spoke of you just last week to a few fellow Owls. I send my condolences to you and your family on the passing of your husband and the earlier passing of your son.

I've always wanted to tell you what a wonderful teacher you were and to thank you for encouraging my creative writing skills and penmanship. I have fond memories of being in your class and dancing to records on rainy days and the times you took the boys out in the hallway to give swats.

May God give your heart peace and provide you much comfort.

This past July 4, I was reflecting on my days at Camp Kennebec as a camper & counselor, 1964 - 1973. I thought of "Uncle" Hal this particular year. Then arriving in Friday's mail from Uncle" Charles "Chick" Strauss, of Brunswick, were local newspaper articles on Uncle Hal and Pam, which appeared on the same day.

Although it as been over 40 years since we worked together, I have vivid memories of Uncle Hal. He made a positive impact on my life.

My condolences to the entire family. I will think of him when I drive to Jackman later this month.

Pam,

I hope you and your family are supported by the fond memories and love of your father. He sounds like an accomplished man who knew that family is the greatest part of life.

Peter

Dear Margaret,

Hal was a nice and kind man. We appreciated knowing him all these years.

John and I are in the area for a few days. We visited Dan and Lou and Kay Rutherford. We talked of the Weisbeins. It's clear you have many friends around the lake who will offer friendship and support.

Sincerely,
Tom

July 2, 2016 | Amanda Woodbury - Monmouth, Maine -- United States

I was of the late Dr. Weisbein Jr at SNHU. I heard so many stories about Hal's dad that I truly feel like I too knew Dr. Weisbein Sr. I called Dr. Weisbein Jr. for assignment clarification and his dad answered. I asked if I could speak to Hal and he replied "which one?" I said Dr. and again replied "which one?" I could "hear" his smile over the phone when he then asked "darling are you looking for the handsome Dr. or the old handsome Dr?" a bit perplexed and bashful lyrics I said "choice one." He got quite a chuckle and passed me along to the "correct" Dr. "Hal" Weisbein.

I pray that God gives you all strength during this difficult time.

My sincerest condolences to you all, Amanda Woodbury

I was so sorry to hear of my cousin Harold's passing. I was not in touch with Harold in my later years and regret that very much. He was a sweet person and so was Margaret. I pray that God will be with his family in their time of sorrow. Gini
