John and Judy,
I called to say happy birthday to Jonah today, and Kristy told me your mother had died at the beginning of the month. I am so sorry. I was lucky to have been around her at so many happy “Jason” occasions from graduations to a wedding. And, also many dinners or holiday parties once she was living in ME. I still think of your parents as a couple, Alice and Al, like my parents, Ruth and Reece.

I enjoyed reading her obituary, understanding the life she lived, and the family ties. May she Rest In Peace, and you both find comfort in the family she leaves behind. Love to all—Christine

Fond memories I have of the holidays with my Mom & Dad (Al’s older brother) at Uncle Al & Aunt Alice’s home. Aunt Alice always served a wonderfully prepared meal. Last time my mother & I visited Aunt Alice we read through some old letters including my Dad advising his younger brother to ‘go for it’, that is, marry Alice, helping him pick out ring, etc. She thoroughly enjoyed them. And suffice it to say my Dad knew best. A treasured family came out of it, still growing. Peace, love, and sweet memories to all. Cousin Chris

Alice was a delight. She brightened many days for me when I was the nurse at Thornton Oaks. Later at Thornton Hall she always remembered me and her smile lit up my day. May God bless you at this time. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.
