Jim also played golf for a time. I met him taking golfing lessons at the Driving Range on Old Bath Road in 1997 or 8 and enjoyed playing with him a number of times at the Mere Creek Golf Course as well as having a lobster stew and blueberry muffin with him at the Old Dolphin Restaurant.

Professor Redwine was widely admired as a professor who lived a block away from campus. He was deeply involved in the college as a teacher, writer, mentor, and friend. We have missed his influence, wit, and kindness since his retirement. Thank you to the Professor for contributing so much to Bowdoin College student, faculty, and community life.
