October 7, 2013 | Marti Dahlen Biegler - St. Louis Park, MN -- USA

Hilda was such an amazing woman. She took in my mother, Joan Childs Dahlen (her cousin) during her senior year of high school when she didn't have any place else to go. During the past 8 years, I was able to visit her and she was able to fill in many parts of my family history. Her humor and spirit will always be remembered.

I am presently a CNA Med Tech at Clover, Ms Hilda whom I referred to as MY HILDA and I developed a great loved and admiration for one another. I worked several shifts I started out on second ... wound up on third, and finished day shift and part of second. I got to see Hilda in her many colors throughout the numerous parts of the day, Oh the stories I have from being adamit about a shower cap so as to not mess up her hair. And Oh how she hated to be cold, I would always share a hot chocolate and a plain donut with her in the middle of the night. when I recently went to school to become a med tech and purchased my home in Livermore falls she made sure to tell me everyday how proud she was of me. When I became a CNA I had only one living memere left and Hilda quickly took on the role of another. I loved her with all my heart and I was blessed to have been such a big part of her life while she was still in the physical world. Now shes givin the angels a rise with her fiery self I loved her personality and wit. She will be greatly missed and surely never forgotten. I am honored to have known her. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of it.

April 30, 2013 | Lynn Carlow - Lisbon Falls,, Maine -- United States

I was a CNA at Clover Manor for the first year that Mrs Monk resided at clover manor. At first she didn't like me because Iwas a man but my wife made her a necklace and I brought it in to her and she loved it from that time on we were fast friends.and she use to request that I take care of her whenever I was working. I remember one night I as put on a different floor to work and they had to come get me to help her because she refused to go to bed without seeing me.I really enjoyed listening to her stories about her sons and how much you all meant to her. Iwould go back to visit her and other residents and her face would always lite upwhen she saw me coming in and she give me a big hug. Hilda was a very special lady . I stopped by to see her about three weeks ago, but when I got there she was sleeping and the nurse said she had a very restless night,so I didn't wake her this time and I'm sorry I didn't in a way but I'm glad she was able to get the rest she needed. So Hilda I salute you for letting me be able to call you my friend Go with god and you will be loved and missed. John it is my honor totell you your mother was a very special lady, but I'm sure you already knew this. sincerely yours

Lynn Carlow
