February 25, 2022 | Kabwe and Esther - Lewiston, Maine -- USA

We use to call him Papa, and our daughters called him grandpa.

Coming from Africa and have left our parents thousands miles away, he has been our father and Margaret our mother.

We've got the chance to know him for only 1 years and 3 months but it feels like we've known him forever. We can't get enough words to express how thankful we are to have met and known this amazing family that we call our family.

Papa Richard was the first person to approach and greet us when we came to Pathway for the first time, he and mama Margaret made us feel at home.

He was such an encouragement to us. He was so kind, caring, and loving.
We learned so much not only from your words of wisdom but also from your godly example, your love for God and for people around you.

We are thankful for the great memories, amazing time of fun and communion we had together.

The only thing that encourages us is that we will meet you again in our Father's house and rejoice together forever.

Rest in eternal peace dear beloved, Till we meet again...

Our sincere condolences to the whole family!

Dick was a real encouragement to us. There was one incident that we were really discouraged in our ministry and he Encouraged us to continue on in the work of the Lord. He will be missed.

Richard was an incredible man of God. He was kind and compassionate. He had a huge heart for teens. I am truly blessed to have known him.

I knew Richard from the Lisbon Conservation Commission. He was a real gentleman. Always kind and patient. I once remarked to him how impressed I was that I NEVER saw him get angry or frustrated. I don’t remember his response except that it was humble, as was typical for him. I’m grateful to have known him, if only for a short time.

I'm so glad I got to know Uncle Richard and got to be his niece. He was an extremely kind, loving soul. He always pointed people toward Jesus, his love for his savior was so evident in his life as well as Aunt Margaret's. I'm so sorry to my Aunt, cousins, and other family for his loss. We all look forward to the day we get to see him again in heaven.

Dick was a kind, funny, generous and humble man of God who never stopped sharing God's love and hospitality with others. It was my honor and privilege to live with Dick and Margaret for 6 months in 2001 as I transitioned between jobs and apartments. I learned much not only from their words of wisdom, but just from watching their Godly example of "living life" day after day. I would often arrive home from work and hear them praying together in their room as I passed by. God's presence simply radiated from every aspect of their being, from the most intentional of spiritual acts to the most mundane of daily tasks. Dick, until we meet again, thank you for all that you did on this side of heaven. Margaret, my condolences to you, my love to your whole family, and I pray God's peace on you until you and your beloved are reunited again.
