October 10, 2022 | Brian - Clark, New York -- US

Dave was one of the first technicians I worked with at BIW. As a contractor I was an "outsider" to the normal shipboard work crew. He kept me out of trouble.

His sense of humor was a relief to some of the difficult workdays on the shipyard.

I once asked if he was interested in getting a Can-Am three wheeled bike. His expletives about not being able to avoid the potholes in Maine roads made me laugh out loud. I have since passed along that story with similar laughter from others.

Dave is what I call "good people" and I am sorry that he has left us. I was comforted to read that he was surrounded by other good people when he needed the help.

October 9, 2022 | Brian Clark - Gansevoort, NY -- USA

Dave was one of my favorite technicians to work at BIW.

His sense of humor was spot on and always helped to pass long days working on the ship.

I once asked him if he would ever buy a three wheel Can-Am bike. His expletives about not able to avoid the potholes on Maine roads had me laughing out loud. I have repeated that story to many people since that time with similar laughter.

Dave is what I call "good people". I was sorry to hear that he passed but comforted to read that other good people were there to help when he needed it.

October 5, 2022 | Albert and Maureen Dean - Oak Bay, New Brunswick -- Canada

We are saddened at the passing of our beloved nephew. Though we didn't get to spend a lot of time together it was good to be in touch from time to time by phone or social media. It was usually at the time when our birthdays rolled around. He and I (Albert) shared the same birth date and middle name. May God bless and comfort all who mourn his passing.

October 5, 2022 | Peter Macdonald - Auburn, Me. -- United States

It’s hard to express the profound loss that Mary and I are feeling. This last months have been a trial for you, and it’s a relief that you are no longer in misery, but the sadness of your passing is hard to bear. I pray that you are with your friends and family who have passed before you, and that you dwell in the house of the Lord forever!

October 4, 2022 | Larry Stegna - Walpole, ME -- United States

I worked with Dave at Bath Iron Works in the early 1980s on 1st shift. For years afterwards, I'd see him when we ran into each other when he worked overtime. He was an extremely nice and fun guy to be around. I always enjoyed talking to him. I'm so sorry that he's passed away. Larry Stegna
