Steve will be sadly missed! He always had a smile even in the tough times. He made me smile even when I had a husband who was being lifeflighted. Steve was his lifeflight nurse. Steve's death is such an incredible loss to everyone who knew him. I always loved seeing him coming through those ED doors with a big smile on his face and always willing to lend a helping hand. I loved working with Steve so much. I worked at Mercy ER for 16 years and had the pleasure of seeing Steve and Sylvia on a regular basis. He was the best paramedic!! And what a sense of humor! My condolences to Sylvia, his parents, brothers, family.

This is a huge loss to the community, the ER and mostly Sylvia. He was always smiling no matter what and could make you smile if you were not by just his presence. He will be truley missed and always remembered by all.
