I was going to call Arthur about a classical music question. When I couldn't find him I searched the internet and found out he had passed. :-(
We spent numerous hours talking about classical music. He helped me win a bet with my wife about music sounding different then now. It was the that the C note was changed.
The world is a sadder place now that I have lost my musical teacher.
My loss isn't anywhere near what his family is / has gone through.
I miss him daily.
Thank you Arthur for your knowledge and the joy you brought to my heart with music.

Dear family, I knew Arthur very well a long time ago. I am so saddened at the death of a loving man so soon. My prayers go out to the family and especially to his sister DeeDee. I am so saddened by this loss as we all are.

Arthur was a gifted musician and a great teacher. He applied insurance law thoughtfully and skillfully, and always wanted the inexperienced person who made a mistake to learn from unfortunate experiences and stay in the business as a better and wiser professional. He is gone from us much too soon, and will be sorely missed.

My deepest sympathy to the entire family. I worked with Arthur from the time he started work for the Bureau of Insurance until my retirement 2 years ago. The Bureau has lost a valuable asset for sure. Arthur always had the answers to our licensing questions and did it with a smile. I always loved going into his office for he had it set up just like a home, very rustic and warm. I don't know his family but my condolences go out to you in your loss for he was to young but I know he is looking down on you.
Sorry I cannot be at the memorial service for I had other commitments but my thoughts will be with you today.

I was saddened to hear of Arthur's passing and give my condolences to his family. I worked with Arthur for a number of years at the Bureau of Insurance. He was such a kind and gentle person with a quick wit. He will be missed greatly.

I had the brief honor of meeting Arthur on the Maine Advisory Council for the Education of Children with Disabilities (MACECD). I did not know him well or for long, but it was clear to me that everyone on the council deeply respected him. He didn't speak often, but when he decided to say something, it was always worth listening to.
He was an even-handed, wise and good man, and his loss will be felt by many. My condolences to his family.

I was very shocked to hear of Arthur's passing. I didn't know him well, but I used to walk on Sewall Street a lot and would see him when his son was an infant. I would run into him from time to time and the greetings were always cordial. I liked him very much.

Kathy, I am so sad to hear of Arthur's passing, my prayers go to you, your son and daughter. I think often of Dave's and my wedding and Arthur playing and you singing. You both made our day very special and it's one of my favorite memories of the short time that Dave and I had together. Keep your family close and remember all the great times of your marriage and life together.
