You were the first man I ever loved. Throughout my whole childhood, you were my person. The person I turned to first for everything. You taught me what unconditional love was. You and Memere were there for me every day of my life. No one could have asked for better grandparents than what you both were to me. You made me first in your life, you spent every moment you could with me. I was with you every weekend of my childhood, with you taking me on wonderful adventures. And when I was grown with a family of my own , you continued on with my girls. Showing them also that same unconditional love. You and Memere were there for them when I couldn’t be. Your faces lighting up every time they walked through the door. When I divorced, and was having a hard time on my own. You both stepped in and gave my children everything that I couldn’t. And still it continued on. I remarried , had a son and still you were there. The girls grew and had their own babies and even though your age prevented you from being as involved as you would have liked, a smile lit up your face every time Maddy, Lovelle, and Emerie came to visit. I want to thank you both for everything you were to me and for always being there for me. I am so happy that you and Memere are back together, but my heart is shattered at the loss of you. I will always miss your loving presence. Until we meet again.
