I was a young boy when the 4 Freemans lived with us while Al was at the Univ. of Toronto.I remember them all especially Al who took me "Korean" fishing with Johnny...
Very impressed by Margaret's career and accomplishments and very sorry I never visited them at W & M - We lost contact (before the internet)- though I studied in Baltimore and Richmond. Fondest remembrances of a very impressive woman and mother to Johnny and Sally.

I admired my aunt Margaret and wish I had known her better. The first time I remembered meeting her she was energetically playing a silent organ, I assume a way to practice music without filling the house with noise.I wish her son would get in touch with me directly because my brother and I don't seem to have his address.

As a summertime, John's Bay Lane, neighbor of Margy's for many years, we (my mother, husband, Godmother and children) had the pleasure of many shared dinners at her (and Al's) lovely cottage or our rental right up the road.
I'll always remember her kindness while my mother declined into dementia, and we will always cherish our memories of lovely evenings spent discussing music, literature, and our mutual love of our spot in Maine.
Her chosen words by Butler are sure to be true, as she will not be all-forgotten
But continue that life
In the thoughts and deeds of those she loved….
We are so pleased to make a donation to the Bristol Library in her name.
