I am saddened beyond words to have lost my most long-time, closest confidant ~ and so suddenly. I knew Jean when we were both high-school age and she was just getting to know my brother Bill; her mother was my Sunday School teacher and would "whip up" a few school skirts for me in an afternoon, when my own mother (your typical minister's wife!) was too busy. Jean always knew where I was coming from, always asked the right questions, was always empathetic, always there for me, always recommended good books. To say that she will be sorely missed is the understatement of the ages.

Rick and I send our condolences to all of the Briggs family and friends. In our time knowing Jean at Chruch we knew her to be a strong independent thinker,kind beyond words and eternally compassionate. I loved working on the exucutive committee with Jean and hearing her points and insights. I learned a great deal from Jeana and Bill. I know she will be truly missed in the World but will shine in the next one. She is a beacon for us all, and a role model indeed. May she rest in peace forever. Our prayers are with her entire family and her Church family. Much love sent to all .
