Dear Sonja,

Ron was one of the first few to welcome me, the new kid, to Wiscasset Middle School after leaving Mt. Ararat. He always knew how to make me smile and always made me laugh. On the worst of days one of his bearhugs could take away any sadness.
Sadly, We lost touch as some do.
But I'll never forget his beautiful smile.
You will be missed Ron, and I can't wait to see what beautiful music you send us all from the other side.
With love,
Julie

Sonja, I am so sorry for you and your family's loss. You know I loved Ron like my 2nd son. I have so many amazing memories of him, going back about 20 years. I'm thankful for photos and memories, now that he is no longer here with us on earth. Ron brought much laughter to my home and so much music! He inspired both of my kids to play music, he was so kind-hearted and gentle. So loved! He will be missed, and I'm so thankful that we talked on his birthday, but wish we could have just one more conversation! Love & Prayers

The Buxton family sends its deepest condolences to Sonja and family on your inestimable loss. We feel just a glimmer of the pain you feel; we can neither take yours away nor salve that pain. Please know your many friends are with you now, helpless but here, praying each in our own way that light will return each morning, that love will conquer all.
To y Buxton and family.

I am so sorry to hear of Ron's death. He was my student at MTA and one I was very fond of. Ron was bursting with energy and curiosity, a pleasure to teach. I still have a DVD he gave me of his music. Please know he touched many lives during his own too-short one.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences. I like to share with you my favorite Baha'i quote on life after death. "“To consider that after the death of the body the spirit perishes, is like imagining that a bird in a cage will be destroyed if the cage is broken, though the bird has nothing to fear from the destruction of the cage. Our body is like the cage, and the spirit is like the bird…if the cage becomes broken, the bird will continue and exist. Its feelings will be even more powerful, its perceptions greater, and its happiness increased…”😢💔

Words cannot express how sorry I am that we've lost one of the kindest & gentlest human beings I've ever known. Ron & I had so many musical influences in common it's like we could never run out of bands we loved to talk about. His enthusiasm on every gig we worked on together was infectious. I am glad I got to see him perform in his band 'Mines of Paris' as you could see and hear how much he loved music. My heart breaks for all who knew and loved him.
Fly high, freebird!! You're with my brother and Mikey now; xoxo forevs
