I worked for Libby as a student in McCabe Library a few years before she retired. Behind the circulation desk, she could be a no-nonsense presence for a lot of students, but I came to know there was often a twinkle in her eye lurking beneath the stern surface. It was always a pleasure to find some way to make her smile, and the easiest way for me was to talk about my home town, Brunswick. I hope she fully enjoyed her retirement there. My sincere condolences to Rudy and the rest of her family.
