We are so sad to learn of John's death. We have such beautiful memories of our trips out to Durham for our Christmas tree. Diane, I will send you a copy of a lovely photo of John, our son, Miles, and his friend, Mark, when they were about 10 years old. John was towering over them with the perfect tree in tow. John will live on forever in our memories.

John will be greatly missed as a neighbor, friend, conservationist and prized vegetable grower! We so loved stopping by this past summer to get fresh veggies and he was so amazed that I was "a Maine girl" and I had NEVER had swiss chard! I will miss those visits and the yummy veggie talks.
