Richard E. Lee 82 of Wayne, Maine died August 28,2026 at Togus in Chelsea Maine.
Richard (Dick) was born in Mineola N.Y. to Joan D. Marrone and Everett H. Lee. He came to a family cottage on Androscoggin Lake every year in his youth, eventually settling permanently in Wayne. Richard worked as an Arborist and later as a property maintenance provider. His greatest joy was teaching Judo, which he did for over 45 years in Augusta and a few other communities. He had obtained his black belt. Richard was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, boating, hunting, skiing, archery, woodworking and shooting handguns.
> Richard is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janice Lee; his sister Geraldine (Gerry) Paradis (Carroll); two sons Reed Lee (Shelley) and Jason Lee, all of Wayne, and daughter Heather L. Leap (Tom) of Portland, Oregon. His stepdaughters Celeste Oliver and Billy Joe Ladd (Phil) of Wayne and Augusta respectively. Granddaughters ; Samantha Wilson (Daroyl), Olivia, Jaida and Celia Leap. Grandson’s Michael Boilard, Tucker Ladd, Jonathan Dawson and Brandon Daigle. Great grandson Kevin Wilson and Everett Wilson. Nephew Scott Dodd and several cousins.
