James Allen Furbish Sr. of Brunswick, Maine passed away peacefully on July 31,2026.
James was born May 2,1947 in Pittsfield to Dwight Freemon Furbish and Evelyn Ruth Mae Furbish Davis.
James spent his working career as a Welder with Bath Iron Works for 49 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and dancing. When James was not enjoying the outdoors, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. James especially loved his long-time pal companion, his dog Max. He also enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend Linda.
James is predeceased by his parents Father Dwight Freemon Furbish, his mother Evelyn Ruth Mae Furbish-Davis. His sisters Karen Elliot and Gail Guyer.
James is survived by his four children, Lisa Toth of Bowdoin, James Allen Furbish Jr. of Bath, ME, Christy Furbish of Bath, ME and Jennifer Furbish of Albany, NY, three sisters Yvonne Smith of Bath, Judy Holman of Bowdoinham and Donna Cook of Poland. Brother Dwight Freeman Furbish Sr. Also, many Grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers- Family welcomes flowers for graveside service. Donations can be made to one of the following
St. Jude's Children’s Hospital, Coastal Humane Society or any Christian congregation of your choice.

A graveside service will be held for James. A Furbish Sr. on September 28th at 11:00 am at Orchid Hill Cemetery in West Bath, Maine.
