Jacob L. Martin, 46, of Minot, passed away Monday, Sept. 7, at Hospice House in Auburn following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born in Lewiston on Feb. 1, 1980, the son of Patricia and Conrad Labbe, and Paul and Diane Martin.
He is survived by his daughter, Alexis Martin, her partner Dameion O’Brien, and their young son, Jackson O’Brien; his son, Blaine Martin, and fiancée Abby Guilmette; his brother, Jeff Martin, and partner Rebecca Bunyea, along with their daughters, Atlantis Martin, Emma Bunyea, and Olivia Bunyea; three step-siblings, Lil Ashton of NC, Al Pepin of Minot, and Dave Pepin of Auburn; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by a stepbrother, Jeff Pepin.
Jake attended Minot and Auburn schools. He was deeply involved in his children's sports activities. Jake worked for many years as an independent contractor for the Sun Journal and previously worked in the restaurant industry. He was a loving and supportive father who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A Funeral Mass will be held for Jacob on September 22 at 11:00 AM at St. Philip's Church, located on Route 4 in Auburn. All are welcome to attend.
