Bath--Dorothy J. White, 88, left on her terms leaving the house feet first on August 27, 2026. She was born on July 2, 1938 the daughter of Mildred
L. Lenfest.
Dorothy worked at various insurance agencies and companies, also at Bath Iron Works for nine plus years. She enjoyed cooking, camping, reading, traveling, knitting and cross stitching (starting many and finishing
few), was an avid cookbook collector with more than 2000 plus books never wanting to get rid of any. She and her husband traveled to Hawaii and Florida several times. As they both aged they did their camping in their backyard their favorite spot. Dorothy enjoyed many fun filled family gatherings in the backyard as well.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald E. White, whom she longed to be with since his passing they enjoyed a wonderful life together.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara J. Acker and her husband Mike, Deborah L. Brey and husband Bob. Grandson Shawn J. Brassard and his wife Heather, great granddaughters, Dezarae and Sienna Brassard. Her sister Linda Lelansky, brother-in-law Stephan White and his wife Marion and special sister-in-law Nancy Mitchell.
As she wished there will be no service please raise a gin and tonic in her memory instead.
Her famous words were "I'm Fine!." Her name is Dorothy White and she approved this message.
I'm glad I got to meet your mom, she was a wonderful person and fun to be around.
