Biography:

Dianna S. Newcombe, 53, of Pittston passed away peacefully on April 9 at Maine General Medical Center after a five + year battle with cancer. She was born in Gardiner, ME on August 26, 1962 a daughter of Joseph and Myrna Essency. Before her illness Dianna worked as a C.N.A. at Augusta Center for Health & Rehabilitaion. There she forged many life-long friendships that she cherished. Dianna enjoyed camping with her friends, long rides, lawn sale hunting, trying new restaurants, and most importantly, spending time with her granddaughter and family. Dianna is survived by her Husband, Frederick Newcombe II, her children; Kelly Johnson and her boyfriend Jason Chaloux, Frederick Newcombe III and his fiancé Audra Danforth, Richard Fowler III, her granddaughter Annora Johnson, Her mother Myrna Essency, brother David Essency, twin brother Daniel Essency, his wife Debbie & niece Ginette. As well as her loving dog Brandy-Lee. Dianna was predeceased by her father Joseph Essency, her brothers, Dwight and Daryl Essency. Dianna’s family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of the Alfond Cancer Center for their kindness and caring as well as to the staff of Augusta Center for Health & Rehabilitation for their love, support and continued friendship. They will always be in our hearts. In lieu of flowers the family requests that people “pay it forward” in her name. At Dianna’s request there will be no services. Arrangements are under the care of Funeral Alternatives.
