Biography:

Mary E. “Marybeth” Lavallée, 72, of Sanford, ME passed peacefully with her husband and family by her side on January 16th, 2017 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA.

She was born on January 6th, 1945 in Milwaukee, WI to parents Isaac C. and Elizabeth A. (Zepezauer) Bloomer.

Marybeth was a part of the York County Beekeeper Assoc.

She enjoyed a variety of crafts, from sewing, knitting, and needlepoint to coloring. Marybeth enjoyed cooking, and loved to make people laugh, and was a comedian at heart. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed watching the chickadees. She loved daisies and lilacs. Marybeth loved her family, and enjoyed the various road trips she went on with her husband. Christmas was her favorite time of year, so much so that her nickname was Holly.

Her favorite job was her love of making people beautiful, as she was a licensed cosmetologist in Wisconsin. She also worked as a sewing machine repairer and organizer at a machine shop. Marybeth also embarked on owning her own business with her daughter. They named it Mystic Gardens. The store was a fantasy store with an array of items from incense, perfumes, clothing, jewelry and collectible items. She was also a sales rep for creative circle.

Marybeth was predeceased by her parents, and two sisters, Jeannette and Susan.

Surviving her are her husband, Denis; daughter, Michelle and her husband Peter Bernard and their children, Alexander and Elizabeth; brother James Bloomer and his wife Barbara and their daughters Christine and Amy; sister Elizabeth Allen and her sons John and Robert; sister Sandra, her husband Daniel Scott and their son John “JP”; spouses of the above listed children; many nieces and nephews, aunts, and uncles from the Midwest; as well as many lifelong friends.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, January 29th, 2017 at Funeral Alternatives, 25 Tampa St. Lewiston, ME. A memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 2pm, with the memorial service and prayers following immediately at 2.
