Biography:

TOPSHAM - Judith S. Krassner, 87, died peacefully December 2 at The Highlands' Governor King facility.

She was born May 28, 1929 in NYC, grew up and graduated high school in Newark, NJ, and earned her BA in Education at Panzer College, part of the NJ State University System.

Judith excelled in water sports, water ballet, skiing and gymnastics, taught physical education, canoeing, was a Certified Red Cross instructor, and loved traveling the world with her husband. They met at a square dance in NYC and married Jan. 24, 1954.

Judith ran a successful business placing children in summer camps and overseas trips. She also worked with her husband running a franchised tutoring school for students.

Judith is survived by her husband George, daughters Devra (Krassner) of Portland and Karla (Bernstein) of Cape Elizabeth, granddaughters Rachel and Ariye (both married and living in the Boston area), and grandson Matt in San Diego.

There will be a private family gathering but no formal services. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Association or CHANS Hospice at www.midcoasthealth.com.
