Biography:

Patricia (Huff) Dumouchel passed away peacefully on December 8, 2014 after a long battle with multiple myeloma.  She was born April 11, 1940 to Gordon and Hazel (Ellis) Huff in Skowhegan, Maine.  She attended Skowhegan schools, briefly a one room school in west Athens and when the family moved to Oakland, Maine she graduated from Williams High School in 1959.  She had many interests; camping, bowling, gardening, crafts, traveling, and playing cards, but cherished sharing time with family and friends.  She had an infectious smile that could light up a room.  Pat had many jobs in her early life and worked very hard her whole life.  Her last two gave her the most pleasure and sense of fulfillment.   For several years she provided child care and formed lasting relationships. She then worked at Inland hospital for nearly 20 years in the environmental service department until her retirement and made many friends there.  Pat is predeceased by her father, mother, step-mother Marguerite (Robbins) Huff and her brother Clifton (Kip) Huff.  She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Gerald Dumouchel of Fairfield, sister Barbara Hart and husband Stewart, currently living their dream at sea, son Jeffrey Dumouchel and wife Karen Rowe of South Carolina, brother Frederick Huff and wife Mary of Maine, aunt Charlotte Heiker of Florida, sisters- in-law Joan Pratt of Massachusetts and Edna Huff of Maryland, and many nieces and nephews.  There are two special ladies from her child care days that have been very close.  Bridgette Kram and her husband Shawn of North Carolina and Ashley Jadczak and her husband Michael and their seven-month old son, Aiden, who gave Pat much joy.  A private service for family and close friends will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2014, at the Maine Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Ave. 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851.
