Biography:

LEWISTON, Laurent “Larry” R Carrier, age 81, of Sabattus passed away on Thursday, March 25th with his children by his side. He was born in Lewiston to Napoleon and Blanche A (Larrivee) Carrier and was the youngest of three children. Larry was an Army Veteran serving from 1957-59 mostly in Germany, he then went onto marry the love of his life Leona Bellefleur. His younger years he worked in the shoe industry within the mills of Lewiston/Auburn most notably with Songo Shoe, he then went onto work at Maine Electronics, finishing out his working career at Phillips Elmet. Larry leaves behind his wife, Leona of 61 years, a son, Danny, his fiancé Louise Comeau, his daughter, Debora Marquis, her husband Steve. Larry also leaves behind four grandchildren, Erin Marquis, Dana Okumura, her husband Tomoo, Jennifer and Albert Thibodeau. Larry will be remembered most for his immense love for his family, for videotaping Christmas’, school events and weddings, and his lifelong devotion to the New York Yankees. Preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Alpheche and his sister Liliette “Betty” Foster. Per Larry’s wishes there will be no visitation hours, but the family is planning a celebration of life later this summer.
