July 9, 2014 | Dave & Lorraine Goldrup - Bridgton, Maine --
We were saddened to learn of Laverne's passing. Lorraine first met her at L. L. Bean and they became fast friends. We attended the same church in Brunswick and our friendship grew over the years. She was a wonderful, kind, loving, Christian lady and how blessed we were to know her. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

I worked with LaVerne way back at L. L. Bean. She was one of the nicest people I've ever known. Very caring. Had the greatest sense of humor.
My sympathy to your family for your loss.

Laverne....I will truly miss you. You have been (as I've told you many times) my Angel here on earth. I came into your life and was met with open arms from you and Don. I truly cherish all of the memories we made together as family, from home to camp, summer to winter. When a dark time came into my life, you told me that once family, always family. And you proved that through the years. Time would pass and I would stop in to see you and Don, and then later just you. It would be like no time had passed. We caught up on the news of all of the kids, and our lives. Never did I leave your home feeling sad. You always brightened my life with your kindness and heart. I am just sad that I hadn't seen you for awhile, but never a day goes by when I'm at the light in Lisbon Falls that I want to turn right, just to see you, hear your wonderful giggle and have your endearing arms give me a hug. I will love you always and will never ever forget you. The circle of life...and you have made your way. An Angel who earned her wings on this earth.....an Angel who's wings carried her home. I love you.....always.
Vicky,Buddy,Bonnie,Randy,Chip and Teri.....My heart goes out to you all. I wish I could be at the service today, to celebrate your Mom's wonderful life. I know you will carry both of your parents love with you thru your own journey of life. You are a wonderful family...of course....two wonderful parents to guide you through life, you were very fortunate to have. I am truly crushed that she is gone for now. Her presence of happiness, her kindness, and life in general will be with all of us forever. Hugs and Love to all of you and your children. xo

We send our condolences to the family for your loss. Be assured of our prayers for you all during these days.
Laverne will be missed by many and by us for sure. You could just be yourself with her and each time we visited we felt special. She would have a feast all prepared. Her cinnamon rolls were the BEST!!!! After a visit she would always send some home with us.
We are thankful for the privilege and the joy of knowing her.
