"Since everything ends badly for us, in the inescapable catastrophe of death, it seems obvious that the first rule of life is to have a good time; and the second rule is to hurt as few people as possible in the course of doing so. There is no third rule."
Brendan Gill

I am sorry to hear of Pete's recent passing. My condolences to his family and his many friends.

Donna, Jessica, Anthony, Sam, Meg and family:

I was very sorry to hear of Peter's passing.
I was doubly sorry because I know these last few years has been very hard on all of you.

I was interested to see baseball was his favorite sport. I had forgotten, but Peter was a hell of a catcher in Little League. I do not honestly remember, but a bet the kid was good with the bat as well.

I always got a laugh out of him when I told him that I learned to pivot in basketball by watching him, which was true. I thought of him a lot later when I was teaching kids to pivot in the recreational leagues.

I hope it helps a little to know that Peg and I are thinking of all of you at this time.

God Bless,

Bill Acheson

So sad to learn of Peter's passing from cancer. Although it has been a longtime since I last talked with him, I remember what a force of nature he was. We used to make forts and play in the fields and woods behind his house, and it seems he never lost an appreciation for the elegant simplicity of nature itself. RIP

March 26, 2020 | Katherine Gorham - Gardiner, ME -- United States

Donna and family I am so sorry for your loss. Pete fought a huge battle with a positive attitude. I first met Pete at Sunday School (lol) and although not in constant contact over the years, he always greeted me with a smile, a hug, a story and those beautiful blue eyes!
