I was very sad to hear of Johnny's passing.
My best memory of him when we were young kids and neighbors involved another neighbor, Dr. Charles Hall. One summer day when Billie and I were around 9 and Johnny was about 4, we were hanging out in the driveway next to the Congregational Church. There was a large meeting of men going on downstairs in the church, and they had the windows open because it was warm. We decided to go peek in. Billie and I could see, but Johnny wasn't tall enough and he kept saying so in a loud whisper. So we hoisted him up, and no sooner had he grabbed the sill and looked in than he said in a very loud voice, "LOOK, THERE'S CHARLIE HALL!" All the men turned and looked toward us. We dropped Johnny like a hot potato and ran (but not without Billie laughing so hard tears were streaming down her face). Johnny may have been the youngest, but he wasn't afraid to speak up!

I am very sad about the loss of Johny Snow. I idolized this guy as an athlete and human being. I love his infectious smile and laugh! The earth has lost another very cool dude! I had the opportunity to play basketball with John for many years. I will always cherish that! Peace and comfort to Allen and the rest of the family. My heart is heavy!

I have great memories of John growing up with him. We were classmates since kindergarten and he always had that infectious smile. I remember that David and I sat with him and his wife at our 15th class reunion. They were just newlyweds than. I remember telling him when his birthday was and he looked sooo surprised that I remembered. The reason I always did was because he and I were the youngest in our class, his birthday being just 5 days after mine. He had a big heart and will be missed by so many. Thoughts, prayers and sympathy go out to all of his family and friends.

August 24, 2016 | Stephanie Cooper - West Paris, Maine -- U.S.A.

My condolences to Mrs. Snow, Allen and Shelly and family, and Billie and family.

Though I didn't know John well, I will never forget the "kid" who came into Sampsons to by fruit, and the man who sat at my counter at Shaners.

Both of these men had a warm and friendly smile that was infectious.

God bless him richly on his return to Heaven, and God bless all of you.

Love, Steph
