March 30, 2020 | Tammy Begin Dumais - Greene, ME -- USA

Thoughts and prayers to each of those impacted by the loss of Uncle Phil. There are no words to fill the hole left by his absence. With time I hope that your hearts are able to slowly begin to smile with the warm and wonderful memories you hold of him.
One thing I will always remember is his laugh, he seemed to have a little snicker as he started to laugh. He was also always willing to help, especially if it involved tinkering with something mechanical :)

March 26, 2020 | janine simond-begin - greene, me -- United States

My bigger brother with a heart of gold. I will never forget how you shared your trucks and cars when I was little so I could play out in the sand and have a lot more enjoyment. I didn't have cars of my own and dolls would
not have worked out. I learned how to use corn silk & paper from my siblings to make fake cigarettes in the back of the garage.. Wow if
mom would have found out! Yikes...I will never forget when he had made a go cart from various parts and used it going down the hill of the street we lived on. One day when some of his friends were there, he offered for me to give it a try. I couldn't believe my ears! Being pretty young, I didn't think mom would say yes. Well, we didn't ask. I felt so proud that he trusted me with his creation. He explained to me about pushing the board against the wheel with my foot to brake and steer with the rope for turns. Simple right? Yet I was a lot shorter than him for doing the driving. The catch was that I had to turn into the driveway and not go down the street fully. Well, I did go kinda fast I guess even pushing the board to slow down. He was directing me from the end of the driveway and....I ran him over, I was so scared that I had hurt him. He got knocked down but was fine. He was not upset either.
He has always been very protective of family,
friends and helpful to others who needed assistance.

Thank you Phil, for many other fond memories too numerous to mention.

Love You, Eternally.
little sis, janine or (J9, as you called me at
times) :-)

I had the pleasure of working with Phil for many years. There were plenty of good memories, while employed at BIW. I'm going to miss his humor and fellowship. God bless Nancy, and the family. I'm truly going to miss him.

Rest in peace Dad. You will be missed more than words could ever express. The heartache comes from the support, encouragement, and unconditional love you gave. I am and will remain eternally grateful for the time we shared. So blessed and thankful to be your daughter.
