Dear Davia: I have thought of you and Dean so many times in the past years-especially of the cocker spaniel, which I kept for you one time while you were on vacation. We had many cockers after that. Loved them. Also, the many times we walked to school together.

Dear Shirley and family. I am so sorry to have read of Dean's passing. From 1983 until he retired, Dean was my tile contractor. I built my first house in Five Islands in 83, and you may remember the Hermans threw a party for all the builders and subs. Shirley, if I remember, you were there.

Dean was such a gentle soul; he exuded peace. His work was great, he was a man you could always count on, good for his word. I was sad when he retired, but glad for him. He was obviously dedicated to family, community, and church.

He lived a long and good life, the kind that inspires the rest of us to be our best. I am sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Dave Polito, Five Islands, Maine.

We will miss Dean! He was always so patient and kind to willingly share information about our house which he had built many years prior. Dean was a great neighbor and an extremely nice man.
