I apologize for the late signing of the guest book however, I just learned of Rhonda's passing. We were classmates at Edward Little. What a beautiful person she was with her smile and caring ways. I just wanted to pass along my thoughts and prayers and best wishes for John and her sons in the future. She is still with you in spirit and you will learn that over time. You will feel her and a thought will come to you and you will say mom would have said that. Again, my condolences.

My deepest sympathies in your loss. Rhonda was always so much fun and full of life. I can see her now in my mind's eye at parties, bowling and cross country skiing at the Kelson's. She loved a good laugh and was always willing to help others or offer a kind word of encouragement in spite of her own circumstances. I pray that the peace that passes understanding will be yours now and in the months to come.

With love,

December 16, 2010 | Jim & Linda DeLong - Auburn, Maine -- USA

We have known Rhonda since the late 1970's when she worked with me at Philips Elmet. We enjoyed several canoeing trips together and shared many laughs. One of our nicest memories was a Halloween party we attended with Rhonda & John. They were the life of the party! Rhonda was a delight to be around, and she always had a smile on her face. We lost touch with Rhonda for many years and got back in touch when we moved back to Auburn and found ourselves as her new neighbors. We were very fortunate to have her as our friend for all these years, and we are heartbroken by her loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with her husband John and her family, including her grand-dogs that she loved very much. Linda & I will miss Rhonda until that time when we are all reunited in heaven. We miss you and love you Rhonda.

John;
It has been a long time since we spent time together.. Rhonda,you, me and June. Time sure flies and we loose touch. I have often wondered how the two of you were doing? I was very sad to hear of Rhonda's passing. She had such a great smiling face, fun personality and was so caring.
I am happy to hear of your family and your trips together as a family and a couple.
God preserve you and your family in this time of sorrow; but to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, smiling happy and healthy once again.
Hope we cross paths again sometime.
Vince

She will be missed

December 16, 2010 | Deborah - Lewiston, Maine -- USA

Someone shared this with me around the death of one of my parents - I wanted to share it with your family at this time of great loss.

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says: "there, she is gone!"

"Gone where?"

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says-"there, she is gone!" there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: "here she comes!"

My thoughts are with you.
