It was my privilege to work with Mary for many years, both at the newspaper and later when she had her own printing business. I learned a lot from her, not only work skills but life lessons. She was a great person and Hallowell, and all of Maine, will be the worse off for her passing.

Mary was a big part of Augusta’s history, culture and community. The newspaper was so important back then and respected as a trusted source of what was happening. She was a big part of that. I know my dad Bennett thought so highly of her, her work and her integrity. Mary—RIP and thank you for making this a better place to live.
