Dawn was a delightful lady. I very much enjoyed getting to know her in the last few years. She was always a joy to sit and chat with, talking about books and whatever else was on our minds at the time. She always loved asking me, "when's the next time you're going contra-dancing?" and hearing my stories of where and when and how it went. I will miss her. My sympathies to her family.

I will certainly miss Dawn. She was so vibrant and well read we always found something to discuss. And of course she loved cats! It was honor for me to have known her.
My condolences go out to her extended family.

As a child I remember how excited my dad was to have Dawn visit. I just could not imagine her living alone in New York City. She was always excited about life or appeared to be. I am glad i had a chance to know her.
