Bertha was simply a good person. She and I spent many hours together as we waited for our daughters at Ellen Cooper's dance studio. We also shared time at swimming and with the Y'ettes, and it was always a pleasure to be with her. She was a good friend, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to know her and her family.
