Words cannot describe what Jim has meant to me over the years. Jim was both big brother and friend to me. We shared some great times in the years we worked together. I think his biggest frustration was me running the gas tank on the van down to empty all the time that and when he retired him trying to teach me his spread sheets for the vans, it was a lost cause lol.
For all that heard or read his heckles I was responsible for supplying them to him. I always enjoyed listening to his stories.
I will miss him very much and whenever I hear someone telling a joke I will remember you Jim.

My sincere condolences to the entire McConnell family. I had the pleasure of working with Jim at Community Concepts 2008-2009. He was a kind and gentle man. He always had a smile and a kind word.

I had the great pleasure of working with Jim for many years at Philips Elmet. We both worked in sales and we would occasionally travel together to visit customers. Jim always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell (many of them corny!!). Years after we both left Elmet, I moved into the same neighborhood as Jim & Laurie and we were able to reconnect and laugh about the many trips we took together, and the hard work we did to help increase sales at Philips Elmet. A few years ago, I moved to SC and just prior to leaving Maine, I got to spend time with Jim at a family get-together they were having in Casco. We had more laughs together and said our "so-long for now" to each other. The world will miss Jim. I know that he was a man of faith and is now residing in heaven with other loving souls that departed before him.
Save me a place in Heaven Jim!!
Your friend, Jim DeLong
