Mary was a wonderful aunt. I have so many great memories of her both from childhood and adulthood. She was always so thoughtful and generous. My beautiful first communion dress was made by her as well as several other lovely dresses. My brothers and I loved visiting her and Uncle Clayton either at their home or at the camp on Worthley Pond. Both very magical places for young boys and girls. When she later married Uncle Ernie, they would often visit our family with stuffed cabbage, a new and delicious treat, and gifts of toys at Christmas time. I also have memories of haircuts at Aunt Mary's home salon.
In recent years, we would gather at various homes for summer and Christmas celebrations, including hers. Mary loved people and was very sociable. She was a very loving and giving hostess, always up for a party! I will miss her hearty laughter, mischievous energy, words of wisdom and good advice. I am glad she is finally free of the devastating result of her stroke, the inability to verbally express herself. Soar with the angels, Aunt Mary! Your loving niece, Betty

January 14, 2011 | Ursula Lobacz - Hillsborough, NC -- US
Our condolences go out to all the people who knew and loved Mary. It is my misfortune to never have met her in person but she is a presence in my life through the memories of my husband, David Lobacz, Jr. She was his grandmother, in his heart and mind, and her passing has made him realize how special she was to him. From his stories I've learned of her kindness, generosity and love. I'm sure she will be missed by all.
Sincere regards,
Ursula Bare Lobacz
