I think the first time I met Sharon was at Zumba class. We formed a fast friendship and would spend time before each class catching up on stuff, talking about our days (good, bad and the ugly) and we’d talk about things going on in our lives. Sometimes my husband and I would see her working in Shaw’s or she’d come into the credit union where I work. We’d always say “hey” and do a quick “how’s it going”. When my brother in-law was sick and in the hospital she chatted with me on messenger and helped me get thru that first night when she knew I wasn’t going to sleep. I kept in touch with her even after she stopped coming to the gym and was fighting cancer. We even talked about getting together to have lunch when she was feeling better but unfortunately we didn’t get to do that. The last chat we had was me sending her a picture of my first new car. She said it was nice but the picture made it look like it had been hit. I will cherish our time together and miss her. Monday nights at Zumba will never be the same.

My heart is heavy as I just read that my dear old friend has passed. We had such wonderful times together in our school days, but I think I loved our more recent days best. Sharon and I could chat forever about our grandkids, which were the highlight of our days.

Recently I shared with Sharon that I have breast cancer, in fact my surgery is at 12:30 today, I was on Facebook using time until I leave when I saw that on our class page that someone posted about Sharon. She was a great support to me when I told her last month, she was encouraging and reminded me that staying positive will help. I think she knew she wouldn’t be with us much longer, but she rarely spoke of it.

I will keep Sharon forever in my heart, my deepest condolences to Reggie and the children. ❤️

Love
Doreen

So sorry to hear this, we were unaware of Sharon's medical condition. We would often share thoughts on Facebook. Reggie, our thoughts are with you my friend, just shocked...sad....and so sorry.

Sweet lady, and my Sister in Red Hatting, she had her own chapter but her and her gals belonged in ours too. she had a dry sense of humour and was such a joy!
She was a beautiful soul, you couldn't ask for a better friend. love to her family and anyone that was blessed to have known her.
