I am Diane's first cousin, her mother having been my father's sister. I left Maine to study for the priesthood when I was 14; Diane was not even born then. What is in my heart right now is the memory of the extreme devotion her parents had for Diane. She was loved unconditionally. Her demise simply means that finally her father and mother have her once more. Her brothers and sister and their spouses have cherished their challenged sister with the same complete devotion echoing that of their parents. I wish to paraphrase the words of the great Bard: " Now cracks a noble heart. Good Night, Sweet Diane, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."
