Used to deal with Gil when he was working at LHS. I was a young, new salesman, with our company, and new salesman are normally given the bums rush and quickly seen to the door.
Gil was always a perfect gentleman, and we continued doing business together for many years till he retired. I have nothing but respect and fond memories of our dealings together. may he rest in peace.

Gil Lamare was an outstanding member of the Lewiston High School staff. The world could well use his notable common sense and unwavering loyalty. Under any demand or circumstance Gil would calmly and intelligently arrive at the correct, logical solution...always accompanied by that trademark, reassuring smile on his face. Gil Lamare was one of the finest men I have been privileged to know. He moved the bar higher for all of us.
